We are seeking a Director Physician Service & Support to direct the implementation of SJHP Physician Service & Support (PS&S) program strategies & tactics to member practices based on the SJHP Strategy outlined by the SJHP Board and associated committees, in consideration of the guidelines from NCQA, SJHP UQIC, and health plans. The Director, PS&S, oversees meetings, agendas, related contracts, and practice engagement required to affect the strategy. In cooperation with departmental and organizational leadership involved in effecting the strategy, the Director plans and oversees required work activities. The Director delegates tasks/projects, arranges for a practice partnership for related practice initiatives, and performs multiple roles when required.
At the direction of SJHP Board and associated operational committees, the Director provides direction to the PS&S Team, and is responsible for the coordination of activities of the PS&S Team. The Director should operationalize a communication system for decision making and reporting to SJHP Physician Service & Support Committee, associated operating committees, and medical directors.
The Director is responsible for communicating decisions made at the SJHP PS&S Operating Committee and associated workgroups to the PS&S Team. The Director works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, maintain and ensure continued growth of the PS&S Program.
The Director is also responsible for coordinating the design, planning, and in-service education programs for all functional area staff-integration application education into the orientation program for new staff.

Requirements
MUST HAVE: IT AND MANAGED CARE EXPERIENCE.
Required Certifications, Registration or Licensure:
Michigan Driver's License
Minimum Knowledge and Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Services Administration, Business Administration, or related degree program required.
-Business knowledge of healthcare environment.
-Knowledge of related IT tools and products.
-Knowledge of LEAN and/or process improvement processes.
-Knowledge of current and pervasive care model concepts as well as community dynamics in the areas of practice management and related IT tools.
Minimum Work Experience:
-Previous experience directing or managing a large program or department involving multiple managers/leads/organizations.
-Experience working in a matrix-managed environment, with multiple stakeholders as well as formal and informal reporting/customer relationships.
-Experience in setting departmental policies and procedures.
-Working knowledge of medical home model concepts.
-Experience in developing and delivering educational programs.
-Strong computer skills.
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written and demonstrates visual, auditory, and verbal skills to effectively interact with all levels of personnel within the organization and with external customers.
-Excellent organizational skills.
-Strong data analysis skills utilizing Excel, and Access with processing of spreadsheets.
-Experience with LEAN and/or process improvement processes.
