We’re a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering a wide variety of transfer opportunities, associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields.
We also believe in putting the community in “community college.” We provide workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities to the surrounding St. Charles community. There’s always something going on campus!
There’s a common lesson plan for all involved in SCC, whether you’re a student, a faculty or staff member, or part of the community. Once you start working with us, you’ll be amazed what we can do together.
Established in 1986 with the first classes held in 1987, St. Charles Community College is a public, comprehensive two-year community college with associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. As a reflection of our institutional commitment to diversity and inclusion, St. Charles Community College has created a Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan based upon continuous assessment and improvement principles to impact campus culture and transformation. The ongoing and evolving Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan is responsive to our campus community climate, articulated goals and objectives. The campus-wide Diversity and Inclusion Council, comprised of students, faculty and staff and led by the Chief Diversity Officer, will champion strategic oversight and initiatives, while leadership will provide campus-wide accountability.
