Praxair Employees Show They Care Proving how much they care about their local communities, Praxair employees at locations throughout the U.S. again participated in the United Way's Day of Caring events over the course of the year 2010.
Praxair Chicago Center The Praxair Chicago Center ) PCC) team painted at the Helping Hand Center in Countryside, Ill. The organization, which has been assisting individuals with developmental disabilities since 1955, offers a variety of medical services, including speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy.
Danbury With 33 Danbury employee volunteers, the Praxair team had enough people to help out at three separate non-profit organizations and collectively contribute close to 200 hours of work. This included: Painting doors, doorways and windows at the Early Learning Center in Danbury. The center provides educational programs to children of 125 Danbury low income families, helping prepare the kids for kindergarten and beyond. Resealing a driveway, spreading dirt and grass seed, staining and painting a porch and deck at a home for mentally challenged adults operated by Bethel’s Abilities Beyond Disabilities organization.
The home helps make it possible for its residents to lead independent lives and function within the Bethel community. Weeding and mulching gardens and plantings around the one acre grounds of the Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club. The club provides sports programs and after school enrichment all year round for hundreds of Ridgefield children.
